Sundar Pichai

Sundar PichaiPichai Sundararajan or Sundar Picha (Indian-American business executive) is more popularly known. [6] He serves as the chief executive officer (CEO) for Alphabet Inc.'s subsidiary Google. Born in Madurai, India.[4] Pichai graduated from IIT Kharagpur with a degree in metallurgical engineer. After making the move to the United States, Pichai earned an M.S. When he moved to America and completing an M.S. in materials science and engineering from Stanford University. Following a brief stint at McKinsey, Pichai moved to Google in 2004. There, he was responsible for the creation of Google Drive as well as innovation and product management. In addition Pichai was able to supervise the development of other applications like Gmail and Google Maps. Pichai announced in the year 2010 that Google had made the video codec VP8 available to the public and introduced WebM, a new video format. The Chromebook was released in the year 2012. Pichai, the man who supervised the launch of Android in 2012, also added Android to his list of Google products.
